It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Harland Tansley, of Cambridge. He passed away peacefully on Sunday November 5, 2023 at the age of 81. Harland was born in St. Thomas, Ontario to the late Raymond and Shirley Tansley.
Harland was married to his beloved wife Linda for 48 years and has missed her greatly since her passing in 2015. Loving father to Darlene Garside of Cambridge and Debbie Tansley of Chicago.
Harland cherished his grandchildren, Tyler, Thomas, Timothy, Tate, Mackenzi and Trevor (predeceased 1995)
Fondly remembered by his sister Linda (Ron) Berry, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
He liked to joke with the caring staff at Cambridge Country Manor where he has resided for the last two and a half years.
Harland enjoyed being a transport truck driver for most of his career and was well respected by customers and co-workers.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation at Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Boulevard, Cambridge on Saturday, November 11 from 12-2 pm. Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2 pm. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery. Join us for the reception at the Funeral Home after the interment.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
