Passed away peacefully on Friday, October 25th at Fairview Mennonite Home in her 98th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 64 years“Bernie”. Loving mother of Elaine (Philip) Etheridge and Peter (Heather) Jennings. Dearest Nana to Sarah, Robyn, Madison and Shaldon. Betty was predeceased by her siblings Lily, Arthur, Jack and Joan.
Emigrated from the UK, Betty was employed at AVRO doing key punch data entry and, having attained advanced computer skills, subsequently retired from Dresser Industries. Both Mom and Dad were committed volunteers at all three local senior centres and enjoyed the Ancient Mariners Canoe Club. Betty loved time with her family, summers on the lake, square dancing and the Garden Club. She was a talented seamstress and knitter and enjoyed singing with both the Addison Women’s Choir, and the ‘Chicklets’.
Betty’s family will welcome friends at the Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Blvd., Cambridge Saturday, November 23rd with visitation at 1pm and a Celebration of Life service at 2pm followed by refreshments. Those who wish may make a memorial donation to Fairview Mennonite Home at 515
