Ruby Pavuk
Passed away peacefully, at the age of 87, on January 12, 2024 at Belvedere Heights Home for the Aged. She was predeceased by her husband, John (1987). Loving mother and will be sadly missed by her sons Jeff, Perry and his wife Marie, and 6 grandchildren, Anthony Miller, Brandie Pavuk, Blake Pavuk, Victor Pavuk, Tanner Pavuk and Megan Pavuk. She is survived by her brother Calvin Hager(Sue) and Howard Hager, sister Shirley VanFleet (David) and brother Ron Bowman (Gwen). She will also be missed by Nancy Pavuk. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ruby and her husband moved from the Caledonia area to Carling Township in 1970. They purchased Shebe Resort and operated the Resort from 1970-1982. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved the outdoors. Some of her interests and hobbies were snowmobiling, boating, camping, gardening, flowers, euchre and board games with the grandchildren. She was a member of the Horticultural Society and the Parry Sound Seniors Club. The family would like extend its gratitude to the staff of West Parry Sound Hospital and Belvedere Heights Home for the Aged, for their compassionate and attentive care, especially her Personal Support Workers. As was Ruby’s wish, her body has been donated to the Division of Anatomy at the University of Toronto. Therefore, there are no events scheduled.
