Petar Krpan, a pillar of strength and source of endless love, left this world peacefully on March 6, 2024.
Born in 1942 in Sveti Rok, Lika, Petar grew up in Bizovac, Slavonija with his parents Ivan and Marija, sisters Anka and Manda, brothers Milan and Mato, and cousin Kata.
His journey would eventually lead him to Canada, in 1967.
Petar is survived by his cherished wife Marija, with whom he shared 61 years of a devoted marriage.
He was a loving father to his children: Anka (Tony), Manda (John), and Mark (Mirjana).
As “Dida Pepa,” he reveled in the connection he shared with his grandchildren – Michael, Johnny, Lukas, Ilija, and Luca.
His influence and love extended across borders, reaching family and friends in Canada, the USA, and Croatia.
The Visitation and Funeral Service will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 1010 Botanical Drive, Burlington, Ontario, L7T 1V1.
Visitation hours are scheduled for Wednesday, March 13, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
The Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 11:00 am.
Following the service, Petar will find his final resting place at Woodland Cemetery – 700 Spring Gardens Rd, Burlington, Ontario, L7T 1J3.
In commemorating Petar’s life, we remember a man whose strength and love created enduring bonds, resonating across generations and continents.
May his soul find eternal peace as he reunites with his daughter, Manda.
