In Celebration of
Ferdinando Cannatelli
June 20, 1934 –
March 22, 2024
With heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of Ferdinando Cannatelli on Friday March 22, 2024 at the age of 89. He leaves behind his cherished wife of nearly 61 years Filomena, who remained by his side through every joy and challenge. Ferdinando was the beloved father of Mimma Raffaele (Gino), Domenic David Cannatelli, Sara Boaventura (Mario) and Lidia Cirino (Danny). Nonno to Gerardo, Adriana, Stephanie, Anthony, Joshua, Jaiden, Luca, Noah and Kyla. Bisnonno to Leo, Nic and Lorenzo.
Ferdinando was born to Domenico and Maria Cannatelli on June 20, 1934 in Sorianello, Calabria, Italy. He was a hard worker and never hesitated to make sacrifices to provide for his family. He loved spending time with his family and sharing “Barzaletti” and stories from his past with them. He was passionate and proud of his vegetable garden, enjoyed playing cards and loved a good laugh. He was a zealous and faithful Jehovah’s Witness for 66 years and held his hope for the future near and dear to his heart.
While this is a monumental loss for our family and friends, Ferdinando will live on in our stories, our memories and our hearts.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 26th from 2-4pm and 6-9pm, and Wednesday, March 27 from 10-11am at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 1010 Botanical Dr, Burlington. Funeral to be held in the Bay Gardens chapel, Wednesday, March 27 at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Glen Oaks Cemetery, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville.
