It is with great sorrow that the family announces the sudden passing of Paul Ray McDonald on November 21st 2023, at the age of 76. He will be remembered and honoured by his loving wife of 53 years, Theresa Brenda McDonald and his four children, Travis (Rhonda), Lance and his wife Kelly, Brandon, Sheldon (Melodie). Cherished grandfather of Brayden, Tristan, Larissa, Tinesha, Aidan, Skiler and Lily. He will be missed by his siblings Leah Hewson (Jim) and Lorne McDonald (Sue). Predeceased by his parents Waldemar & June McDonald. Paul will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, family & friends.
Paul worked for Brant/Brantford housing for 28 years. Upon his retirement in 2012, time was spent with family and friends. Paul was an avid outdoorsman sharing his passion for the outdoors with his family by volunteering with Scouts Canada and Brantford Church Hockey, in his younger years. Family vacations were spent at cottages in the Kawarthas. His greatest enjoyment throughout his life was spent fishing, hunting and manicuring his lawn. These skills and memories will forever be cherished by friends and family.
Family & friends will be received at the Keith Ovington Funeral Home, 134 King Street, Burford on Monday from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday November 28, 2023 from 10-11 a.m. followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. As expressions of sympathy donations in Paul’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
