Paul Billington of Brantford fell asleep at the General Hospital on Sunday September 24, 2023 in his 86th year and now rests until the return of the Lord Jesus Christ and his resurrection from the dead. He was a firm believer in the Holy Scriptures and the promises given to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and David, proclaimed by the apostle Paul as the hope of Israel and taught by the Christadelphians.
In the fall of 2018 Paul wrote in his magazine as follows: “I lived through the dark days of the Second World War, and I have seen the birth of the nation (of Israel). More than that, I witnessed the miracle of Jerusalem in 1967 and now see the building up of Judea and Samaria (the mountains of Israel). For over 30 years (now 35) The Bible Magazine has witnessed to the Truth of the Bible and it appears to me that as Scripture is being fulfilled, Moshiach (Christ), the King of Israel will soon be in the land.”
Beloved husband of Sally for 55 years. He was the loving father and father-in-law of Angela Barnes (Nicholas), Michael (Heidi), Daniel (Lindsay), David (Alicia), Timothy (Leah), and John (Lyndsay). He was the beloved grandfather and great grandfather of all his children’s families. He was the brother of Judith Bowen. Predeceased by his brother Keith and son Michael and son-in-law Nicholas. Paul was greatly loved and is terribly missed. He will be fondly remembered by his family and brothers & sisters in Christ.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul’s memory may be made to The Bible Magazine or registered charity Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund.
