Passed peacefully at Spencer House in Orillia on Tuesday December 5, 2023. John Wingrove, originally of Burford Ontario, in his 95th year. Beloved Husband of the late Betty (2017). Loving Dad of Karen, Andrew (Anne Marie), Jennifer (Kevin), and daughter-in-law Melissa. Beloved Papa of Stewart, Jonathan, Jacquelyn, Michael, Steven, Jacob and great-grandpa of Shyanne and Olivia. Predeceased by his son John and daughter-in-law Nancey.
Special thanks to the staff at Spencer House, Sundial Retirement Home and his many friends and family from Burford to Christian Island and beyond. John had an adventurous spirit and loved spending time with his family and many friends. His positivity will live on in all of us.
Family and friends will be received at the Keith Ovington Funeral Home, 134 King Street, Burford on Friday December 15, 2023 from 10-11 a.m. followed by a Celebration of John’s Life at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Fairfield Cemetery afterwards.
