It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Mom at the Stedman Hospice on Friday, July 19, 2024. Gloria (nee Nesplic), of Oakland, in her 81st year. Beloved wife of the late Terry Shaw (2022). Loving mom of Greg (Janet) and Chris (Patty). Cherished Bubby of Brandon (Mariah) Shaw, Emily (Matt) Cartmel, Callie and Noelle Shaw, Mike (Alysha) Crocock and Ben (Taylor) Crocock and her great-grandchildren Gunner and Houston Cartmel. Survived by her sister-in-law Barb Nesplic and predeceased by her brother Brian Nesplic. Gloria will be lovingly remembered by her life-long girlfriends, and many family and friends.
Gloria grew up at the family business, the Scotland Bowling Alley and later worked tirelessly together with Terry on the family farm while raising their family. She loved travelling to visit her parents in Florida, “wine time”, and especially time with her family. Gloria’s generosity was shared with many charities at home and abroad. She will be remembered for her vibrant personality as she could always light up a room.

The family would like to thank the nurses on the Palliative Care Floor at the Brantford General Hospital and all of the staff and volunteers at the Stedman Hospice for the care, kindness and compassion shown to both Gloria and her family.
