On Tuesday November 7, 2023, Cora Tuinhof was called home to be with the Lord. Cora passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital in her 93rd year.
Loving and devoted wife to Ray for over 66 years. Beloved mother of Nellie (Chris) From, Bonnie (Paul) Henault, and Brian (Deanna) Tuinhof. Treasured Beppe to Nathan (Megan) From, Nicola (Kevin Loder) From, Heather (Grant) Dunlop, Pearce (Sarah Bulford) Mundy, and Alexandra (John Abrams) Mundy. Adored by great grandchildren Maelle, Derek, and Lucy. Predeceased by her parents Johannes and Neeltje (nee VanHerk) Spriel, one sister and four brothers. She is survived by her sisters, Janna, Willie, and Jane, brother Harry and will be lovingly remembered by many family members and friends.
A celebration of Cora’s life and faith will be held on Saturday, November 18 at 2:00 pm at Crosspoint Community Church, 150 Concession Street, West, Tillsonburg, ON N4G 4G8 with Pastor Bram Blaak and Pastor Harold Winter officiating. A private family interment at the Pioneer Cemetery in Burford will have taken place. Friends are invited to join the family for a reception following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Cora’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Tillsonburg Memorial District Hospital and arranged through Keith Ovington Funeral Home, Burford. 519-449-1112. Expressions of sympathy may be given at www.keithovington.ca.
