July 27, 1926 – January 3, 2024
Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital on January 3rd, 2024. Loving mother of Colleen Newson of Lindsay and Darlene White of Brockville. Cherished grandmother of 4, and great grandmother (GG) of 2. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Violet was predeceased by her husband Donald of 55 years, by her parents Arnold Hanna and Lavernia (Tanney); by her sons Dennis (1954) and Marvin (2010); and infant sister Irene; sisters Iva Capling (Oscar) and Mae Bancroft (John); by her brother Art Hanna (Edith) and by her sons-in-law John Newson and Bob Johnson.
At Violet’s request, cremation will take place with a private graveside service at Maynard Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care will be gratefully acknowledged.
