It is with great sadness and love that the family of Sharron Elizabeth Ellis announce her passing on October 15th, 2023, in her 79th year of life, at Brockville General Hospital.
Sharron Elizabeth Ellis was born on March 2nd, 1944, to Charles Herman Gray and Margaret Martha McIlvenna in Toledo, Ontario, where she attended high school and met her husband Edward (Wayne) Ellis. After raising their two daughters Andrea and Helen in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, where Sharron was supported by her lifelong friends Joyce and Jim Ross, they relocated to Frankville. Here, Sharron and Wayne established “Ellis Tires” before settling down in Brockville. While living in Brockville Sharron spent her days as an Administrative Assistant for a local doctor’s office as well as for the Brockville Psychiatric Hospital, however, her true devotion was to her family. She was a loving wife, a supportive mother, and a dedicated grandmother. She was her family’s biggest fan, fiercest advocate, and greatest role model. Sharron lived her life with strength, passion, love, and courage, overcoming any obstacle that came her way – a force of nature.
Sharron Ellis is survived by her two devoted daughters Andrea Ellis and Helen Kovacic (Jim). As well as her three grandchildren whom she adored, Annie Dowd, Isabelle Kovacic, and Mason Kovacic. She was also survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Edward (Wayne) Ellis. She will be greatly missed by her grand-dog, Fergus. Sharron will be fondly remembered by her many close friends and family with whom she shared memories of playing cards, dancing, and visits together.
A celebration of Sharron’s life will take place Sunday, October 22nd from 10:30am-12pm at Irvine Funeral Home in Brockville, Ontario.
