Surrounded by her loving family, Micheline McKeown (nee Lalonde) passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at the Brockville General Hospital. She was 79 years of age.
She was the heart of our family and will be forever missed by her children John (Judy), Alison (Alex), Elizabeth (Matt), Doug, Emily (Grant) and Marc (Louise). Predeceased by her beloved husband Joe as well as her parents Marcel and Madeleine Lalonde and brothers Guy and Yves. She will be dearly missed by her sisters Claudette Marin (Bill), Marie Campbell (John), her brother Marc Lalonde (Bev) and sister-in-law, Jo Lalonde. Her fourteen grandchildren were the joys of her life. Forever loved by Brooke (Aric), Mckenzie (Mark), Casey-Lee, Abigael, Olivia (Joey), Isaac, Annie, Ben, Madeleine, Jack, Ellie, Henry, Charlie and Rory. Each one held a special place in her heart. Miche took great delight in keeping up with the lives of her many nieces, nephews and their families.
Above all else, caring for others was at the heart of everything she did. She was a devoted nurse, a committed volunteer, a gracious host and a true friend. We will miss her frequent calls to catch up, her delicious home cooking and baking and her beautiful laugh.
In our hearts, our parents are together again.
Family and friends are invited to the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 Jams St. E., Brockville on Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024 at St. Francis Xavier Parish, 66 Church St., Brockville at 10 a.m. with interment taking place at a later date. The family will be greeting guests at the Brockville Yacht Club, 3 St. Paul St., Brockville at noon. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Brockville General Hospital Palliative Care Program would be greatly appreciated by the family.
