Captain Maurice Fodey entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital on October 6, 2023 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Isobelle (nee Kennedy) Fodey and the late Joan Pickett Fodey. Dear father of Mark Fodey (Sandy), Jennifer Ashurst (Rob), Mary Leeder, Bill Garvin (Jo-D), Paul Garvin (Sandra), Lawrence Garvin (Laura) and Ann Garvin. Fondly remembered by several grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Brother of Cecielia Kutz and Catherine Dodge (Jeff). Predeceased by his two sisters Theresa Fitzgerald and Dorothy Fodey and by a brother Paul Fodey.
Family and friends may call at the Irvine Funeral Home & Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 from 3 until 7 pm. The Liturgy of the Christian Funeral will be celebrated in St. Francis Xavier Church, Brockville on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 10 am. Members of the Knights of Columbus will gather at the funeral home for fraternal prayers on Wednesday at 6 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care Program, The St. Vincent de Paul Society or charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged.
