Entered into rest at home on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, James MORLEY Thomson of Spencerville, ON in his 75th year is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Lynda (Luther), his daughters Tracy (Tim) Mills, Nicole Thomson (Barry), Patricia (Abraham) Couperus, Pamela (Guy) Dignard, grandchildren Paige (Philip) Malcomnson, Mikaela (Kyle) Berry, Savannah (Eric) Nolan, Jaden Thomson-Couperus (Hunter), Kynlie Thomson-Couperus (Adrian), Dominic Dignard (Nadia), Ambrosia Dignard (Nathan), Ciara Moffitt, Nevehiah Dignard, great grandchildren Kaulder, Mia, Ridley & Olive.
Also survived by siblings Bob (Linda) Thomson, Wayne Thomson (Sally), Judy (Bryon) Wallace, Gerald, Mary (Jeff) Windsor, In-laws Mike McIndoo, Heather (Peter) Shane, Kevin (Denise) Luther, Pat (Julia) Luther and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Bert and Lillian Thomson, in-laws Frank and Betty Luther, sister Mavis McIndoo, sister-in-law Marie Thomson and granddaughter Claudiah Dignard.
He will be dearly missed by good friends Dave Hudson, Blake Schellings, Troy Fridgen, Ray Baynham and Dave Sibbald along with many other family, friends, and neighbours.
Morley worked many years at Kingsway Transport, Ottawa and then with his dad, brothers, and nephews at Valley Sanitation/Thomson Fuels Kemptville, ON until he retired. He enjoyed camping, playing cards, working on various projects in his garage, and traveling away every winter to warmer destinations.
Thank you to all the teams of doctors, nurses and all other care givers at the Eye Institute Ottawa, Ottawa Heart Institute, Cancer Center Ottawa, The Ottawa General Hospital, The Civic Hospital Ottawa, Bruyere Saint Vincent Hospital Ottawa, Kemptville District Hospital, and Bayshore Home Care.
Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be held on April 27th, 2024. Further details will be provided closer to the date. A private service for immediate family will take place on April 30th, 2024, where he will be placed to rest in his columbarium.
