Diane McLean (nee Provost) was born June 9, 1959, in Brockville, ON. Passed away peacefully, in her sleep, on December 31, 2023, after a long battle with Diabetes. Diane was only 64 years of age.
A lifelong resident of Brockville, Diane was well-loved by many. A devoted mother to Kirk and Corey and for many years, looking after the safety of other children working as a crossing guard and babysitter. Diane loved to bake and spent countless hours drinking coffee while visiting with her closest friends.
It would be wrong to say that Diane lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like.
Predeceased by her parents Roger Provost and Nora Young, brother Carl Provost, and eldest son Kirk Mills. Diane is survived by her sister Susan Howe (Donnie) son Corey Mills (Liz), her beloved grandchildren Damian, Eden, and Destiny, niece Sherri Mason (Jeff & Travis), and nephews John Howe (Michelle), Roger Provost (Katie).
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James St East, Brockville on Friday, January 5th, 2024 from 12 – 2 pm with a memorial service to follow at 2 pm, all welcome.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Diabetes Society & Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Addictions and Mental Health will be gratefully acknowledged.
