PEARSON, Michael Dugald – we bid farewell to our hero, mentor and the captain of our ship, Michael (Mike) D. Pearson. Dad passed away peacefully at home in Brighton on Friday September 6, 2024. Beloved husband and soulmate of the late Elizabeth Ann Pearson. Dad departed this world with grace and dignity, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his family heartbroken; daughters: Dianne (deceased), Michelle (Terry), Jacquelynn (Adam), and Janette; grandchildren: Jordan, Aaron, Alexander (Valerie), Brooklynn (Steven), Raychel, Megan, Emily; and great-grandchildren: Charlie and Wesley.
Family was everything to dad and he was our everything. We take comfort in knowing he has been reunited with his beloved Ann. Dad’s ‘Celebration of Life’ took place on the long weekend, as he wished, with him and his family. We reminisced, made new memories and celebrated. To our extended family and friends, he knew he was well loved by all your visits, calls and notes. He had amazing people in his life. He loved to be on the water and enjoyed his many sailing trips on Elnamea, camping and fishing in Killarney and travelling with mom. He was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes. He was extremely generous, and always willing to lend a helping hand.
Dad, you will be greatly missed, remembered and thought of often, and we will see you again someday.
In lieu of flowers, he asked that donations be made to The Hospital for Sick Children which was near and dear to both him and mom.
Arrangements entrusted to the Rushnell Funeral Homes – Brighton, 130 Main Street (613-475-2121).
