Passed away comfortably at home on May 13, 2024 in his 81st year.
Len is survived by his wife of 60 years Rita (nee Coffey), his son Cyril (Karen), his daughters Jennifer and Linda (Brian) Mowat. Loving “Pop” to Bryan (Samantha), Brandon, Jacob, Erin, Chantel (Damon), Olivia. Two great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his cherished mother Jessie, sisters Joy, Minna, Daisy (Audrey), Josephine, and Vina and brothers Al, Cyril, and Leuvern. Leonard was the youngest of 9 children.
Len was a crane operator for CP Rail for 33 years and was an avid model train enthusiast. Len and Rita met in Toronto and raised their family in Bay Ridges, Pickering to finally retire in Newcastle. They enjoyed many summers at their vacation home looking out at the ocean, in Grates Cove, Newfoundland.
