Obituary of David Arthur Boyle
David Arthur Boyle
Passed peacefully away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on January 9, 2024 after a brief battle with cancer.
Dave is the beloved husband of Olga (nee Michalejko) for 55 years. Loving father to Paul (Marlene); Mark (Sharon) and Andrea. Adoring Papa to Owen; Colson; Kyla; Emma; Evan and Oliva. He was predeceased by his parents George & Rose Boyle. He was the youngest of 14 children, having 6 brothers and 7 sisters.
Dave was a familiar and well-respected member of the community and of Standardbred Canada. He started Boyle Excavating 50 years ago and worked hard every day. From dawn to dusk he could be found running equipment or tending to his horses. Often accompanied on his golf cart by his two precious dogs, Harry and Gracie.
Dave loved his family dearly and held his friends close. He loved to tell a good story.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
At Dave’s request, no services are being held. However, an Open House to honour Dave will be held at the Boyle Shop (210 Baseline Road) on Saturday January 20th, 2024 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. Arrangements entrusted NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division Street North Bowmanville. Donations can be made to Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society.
