Obituary of Agatha Huberta Magnin
Agatha Huberta Gertruda Maria Magnin
January 18, 1924 – Nov 13, 2023
After a courageous four year battle with cancer, Agatha passed away peacefully on Monday November 13, 2023 at the age of 99.
Mother of Monique de Ruyter (Tom). Predeceased by her daughter Maryke Kolenousky and husbands Rudy de Ruyter and Chris Magnin. Agatha was an adored Oma to Denise Bosch-Hope (Don), Camille Bosch-van Tienan, Julie Dorney (Mike) and Matt Bolander and great-grandchildren Alandra, Dylan, Hayley, Cassandra and Connor.
Agatha (Zus) leaves behind her brother Hank Bahlmann with whom she often shared Friday coffee. Predeceased by brothers Ben and Bertus. Agatha (Tante Zus) also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Agatha made many friends in her long life and travels. Always a prolific knitter and seamstress, she loved tackling new crafts and sewing projects. She (alias Susie) especially enjoyed time spent with her friends at Wilmot Creek, the retirement residence in Pickering and old friends from Scarborough.
Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday December 3rd at 12 noon at NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division Street North Bowmanville. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
