Obituary of Grant Rutherford
It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of John “Grant” Rutherford, for many, well known as “Scruffy”. A resident of Bothwell, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Village On The Ridge at the age of 73. Predeceased by his parents, John and Irene (Walker) Rutherford. Grant was a devoted millwright and worked in the industry since August 1969. Dearly missed by his wife, Shirley. Proud father of Jason (Katie), David (Jill), Scott and Shannon. Cherished Poppa to Aaron, Ruby, Owen, Lily, Charlee, and Dane. Predeceased by his sister Joan, and fondly remembered by his siblings, Ruth Ann (Ken) and Dawn (late Tony). Grant will be greatly missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and some great friends. Grant will forever be remember for his unique sense of humour and the compassion he showed for others. A funeral service will be held at Badder & Robinson Funeral Home 211 Elm St., Bothwell on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 11 a.m. with crematon to follow. An open house celebration of life will be held on the 10th of August, 2024, at Grant and Shirley’s residence. If desired, donations may be made to PAW Rescue.
