Debra (Deb) Hilderbrandt Obituary
With great sadness, the family announces the passing of Deb on January 28th, 2024, after brief illnesses at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC), with family by her side.
Mother of Scott (Tammy Hudder) Gorgerat, Barry’s Bay, ON, and Amanda (Bill) Mahoney, Peterborough, ON. Grandmother to Dillon Florent, and Payslie and Kale Gorgerat.
Survived by Edward Gorgerat (parted ways after 26 years of marriage), sisters Dianne Dunne, and Sherri (Sheldon) Towns, in-laws Elsie Ciehanskie, Andrew (Shirley), Gilbert (Karen), Dominic (Heather), Paul (Leona), Theresa (Gord), Mildred, and Shirley, and many nieces and nephews.
Deb adored her family and was very proud of any achievements they accomplished. She loved her teapot collection, dancing, and babysitting her nieces and nephew.
Predeceased by her parents Clarence and Leanelle (Gutoskie) Hilderbrandt, and her siblings Gilbert and spouse Phyllis (Haskin), Beatrice and spouse Mervin Dupuis, Lorraine and spouse Jim Hearne, Lois and spouse Leslie Kuiack, and Wayne and spouse Helen (Birkenhead). Predeceased also by her in-laws Jim Dunne, George and Barbara Gorgerat, Lawrence Gorgerat, Edward Ciehanskie, and Jack LaPierre.
The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses at PRHC (Brittany, Rachael, and Vanessa – sorry if we forgot anyone) who cared for Deb. A huge thanks also to Warren and Joe at the Heubner Funeral Home for all their help during this difficult time.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Madawaska Complex, 26 Major Lake Road, Madawaska, ON, on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024, from 1:00 – 7:00 p.m.
The family would appreciate that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Deb.
