Bernice Schaub Obituary
After a second fight with cancer, Bernice Schaub (nee Simourd) of Killaloe, ON passed away Thursday January 11th, 2024. She was born on October 21st, 1947 in Madawaska, ON to the late Edward and Elsie Simourd. She met and married Hans Schaub on February 7th, 1970 who preceded her in death in May of 2006.She is survived by her daughter Krista (Lawrence Coulas), granddaughters Abigail (Joshua Kuiack) and Rowan, brother Bedeau Simourd, preceded in death by sisters Pamela and Boneta. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date, followed by a private interment for family. Bernice will be fondly remembered for her extensive vocabulary that was more than highly proficient at knowing more curse words than most people learned in a lifetime. Family would like to extend their gratitude to Madawaska Valley Hospice for their kindness, support, care, and compassion during Bernice’s stay.
