Shirley Constance Potter, Born in Mimico, ON June 17, 1934- passed away on November 23, 2023 in Orillia, ON
Shirley is survived by her daughters Linda Reid, Barrie, ON and Sharon Sulland, Moncton NB, her great granddaughter Audrey Angus, Orillia ON and her beloved dog Tiny Paris. Shirley was known as Nanny to all, but especially by her beloved grandson Sean Reid Angus (predeceased 2023) who cared for her with love, patience, and kindness during her long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. “Nanny” also had 5 other grandchildren, Devon Cheong, Brandon Cheong, Megan Cheong, Allan Angus and Peter Angus and 5 other great grandchildren.
Linda, Sharon, and Audrey would like to extend their gratitude to the staff, PSWs and nurses at Spencer House Orillia, and Hilary from the Wendat Community Program for Seniors for the excellent care they provided to Shirley in her final months.
Cremation has taken place, and a private Celebration of Life is planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Shirley Potter to Spencer House 835 West Ridge Blvd Orillia or www.DyingWithDignity.ca
