With family by his side, God welcomed our sweet boy Kevin home on Sunday, November 26th, 2023. Will be missed by his devoted mother; Melissa Brown, his stepfather; Eddie Chao and father; Wei Cao. Loving big brother of Jordan. Beloved grandson of Judy and Steve Brown. Cherished nephew of Doug Brown, Andrew (Lucy), Rosa and Raymond (Kristy). Dear cousin of Matthew, Emma, Megan and Leanne. Will be sadly missed by his extended family members and many dear friends.
Kevin was a very sweet, talented and happy boy with an amazing sense of humor. He made friends wherever he went. He always put others first and genuinely cared about them with his whole heart. Kevin loved traveling and going on adventures. He was an amazing musician and loved to share what he wrote with others. He was going to go far with his music, but God had other plans. Out of nowhere, Kevin had to take on the role of a warrior to battle through his illness for the past 2 years. He put on a brave face every single day and kept his faith. Although terribly missed, we are so thankful to know he is finally at peace and can enjoy eternity in Heaven.
Visitation will be held at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Sunday, December 3rd, 2023 from 2 pm until the time of Service in the Chapel at 3 pm. Reception to follow inside the Lower Lounge from 4-5:30 pm. In keeping with Kevin’s wishes, cremation will take place. The family has kindly asked that donations be made directly to the family via a GoFundMe page. Online condolences and memories may be shared via www.steckleygooderham.com
