Peacefully passed at the Mill Creek Care Centre in Barrie on Monday, April 22nd, 2024 at the age of 97 years. Beloved husband of Joanna (née Rainboth). Loving father of Ian (Bev), Brenda (Mike), Janet, Dave (Joanne) and Jim (Paula). Proud grandfather of Greg, Erin, Peter, Ryan, Kate, Rebecca, Leah, Kris, Scott, Brendan, Garrett and Rogan and great grandfather of 9. Will be missed by extended family members and dear friends.
In keeping with Al’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family service has been held with arrangements entrusted to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie. Donations in Al’s memory may be made to the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre and are greatly appreciated by the family. Heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Mill Creek.
