Peacefully passed at Hospice Simcoe in Barrie on Tuesday, August 27th, 2024 at the age of 98 years. Beloved wife of the late Cecil W. Moore. Loving mother of Kim Moore, Alan Moore and the late Cory Moore and Sharon Craven. Proud grandmother of Glen, James, Christine, Matthew, Amanda and Tyler, and great grandmother of 9. Dear sister of Brian Nurse, Ian Nurse and the late Bill and Walter. Will be missed by extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Thursday, August 29th, 2024 from 10 am until the time of Service inside the Chapel at 11 am. Guests are invited to remain for a reception following the service inside the lower lounge. In keeping with Doreen’s wishes cremation has taken place. A private family interment will take place in the future at the Midhurst Union Cemetery.
