Passed away peacefully at Stratford General Hospital on Sunday November 5, 2023 at the age of 88.
Beloved wife of the late George Smith (2017). Loving mother of Kevin (Julia) Smith of Peterborough, Cheryl (Andrzey) Dominski of Toronto, Ted Smith of Bracebridge and Sean (Kate) Smith of New Hamburg. Cherished grandmother of Mia, Michael, Julianne, Travis, Kelsey, Jackson, Emily and Matthew. Lillian was predeceased by her parents Frederick and Christina Pehlke, her siblings Esther (Henry) Knechtel, Frieda (Leo Mueller, Hilda (Ralston) Shore, Ruth (Murray) Hammend, Ella (Grant) Hastings, Laura (John) Anstette, Wilfred (Vera) Pehlke, Elsie (Ron) Alder, Lorine (Jack) Ryan, Harold Pehlke, and her son Brian (1957). Survived by her sister-in-law Joan Pehlke. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Lillian was a member of the Atwood Presbyterian Church and attended the bible study group at the church. She will be remembered for her love of gardening, knitting, sewing, home decorating and her talented piano playing.
Friends and family will be received on Saturday November 11, 2023, at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John St, Atwood Ontario. from 1 PM until the time of the service at 2 PM. Interment at Elma Centre Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Atwood Presbyterian Church. Online condolences may be left at www.brennemanfuneralhome.ca.
