Peacefully, with loved ones by his side at Fairview Manor, Almonte on Saturday evening, May 25, 2024, Reid passed away at the age of 86.
Beloved and cherished husband of Betty (nee Popkie) for almost 63 years.
Loved and proud Dad of Scott (Christine), Melody Cadeau (Don) and Heather Hamilton (Bill Craig).
Special loving grandpa of Madeline Ladouceur (Shawn) and great grandpa of Cameron and Kennedy.
Fondly remembered “Uncle Reid” of many nieces and nephews.
Reid was predeceased by his brother Ron Reid (Norma Dewar) as well as his sisters: Catherine Hebert, Edna Kenny, Grace Heideman, Harriett Belliveau and Christina Church (late Sheldon).
Son of the late Harry and Caroline (nee Reid) Hamilton.
Reid’s care and arrangements have been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior where visitation will be held on Thursday evening, May 30th from 7-9 and again on Friday morning, May 31st from 9:45 to 10:45. A Funeral Service will take place Friday morning in the Pilon Family Chapel at 11 o’clock. Reception to follow. Interment Flat Rapids Cemetery.
