It is with sadness that we announce that Mary passed away peacefully at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital with her children by her side, Sunday evening, August 4, 2024 at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late William “Bill” Gibson. Loving mother of Catherine Fairfield (late Ron) of Arnprior, Ken Gibson (Francyne Dion) of Edmonton and Ian Gibson (Linda) of Arnprior. Cherished grandmother of Matthew, Nicholas, Jacob, Greg, Brooke, Eric, Kaytlyn, Jesse and Allysha and great-grandmother of Abbygale, Rayne, Amelia Mae, Rowan, Aliya, Zak, Jayden and Lennon, Madelyn (Alex) and Grayden. Mary was born in Scotland to her late parents John and Jean (Robertson) Thomson and was predeceased by her sister Elizabeth “Betty” (late Billy) and brother-in-law Robert (Anna) of Scotland. She will be missed by nieces and nephews and extended family in Scotland. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Arnprior Villa, where Mary felt truly at home in her final years. Your kindness and care meant the world to her and her family. Mary’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior. Private interment will take place at Arnprior Albert Street Cemetery.
