It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Lois Myrtle Rosien on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital surrounded by family at the age of 85. Lois was the cherished wife of Henry Rosien. Her life was devoted to her family, her community, and her faith. Lois leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion as the beloved mother of Robert (Karen), Sharon, Kevin, and Lynn. Her life graciously revolved around her grandchildren Jennifer McMillan (Brooks), Krystal Sadler (Jason), Nicholas Iwanyshyn (Corrin), Erin Gillan (Mitchell), Stephanie Duff (John), and Mitchell Iwanyshyn and her great-grandchildren, Ava, Austin, Clayton, Aiden, Adeline, Cameron, Cadence, and Hendrik. She is survived by her dear siblings Lorraine Cluff (late Deli), Don Grant (Ivy), and Ken Grant (Anne). Born in Eganville to the late Robert and Anna (Hein) Grant. A talented and passionate knitter, she found joy in creating intricate designs with her nimble fingers. Lois also had a green thumb and took delight in sharing the beauty of plants with friends and neighbors, often gifting spider plants and other botanical treasures. Her generosity extended beyond her crafting and gardening talents, as Lois dedicated her time to the church and various church functions. She was a selfless individual, always ready to contribute to the well-being of others. Lois’ family meant the world to her, and her love for them was boundless. Her impact on the lives of those around her will forever be remembered with fondness. Lois’ arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior. Obituary of Henry Rosien
June 2, 1930- December 29, 2023
(Retired- Gillies Mill)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved patriarch, Henry George Rosien, on December 29, 2023, at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital, surrounded by the warmth of his family. At the age of 93, Henry bid a poignant farewell to this world, just 16 days after his cherished wife Lois. Henry was the heart and soul of our family, the devoted husband of Lois Rosien (nee Grant), and the nurturing father to Robert (Karen), Sharon, Kevin, and Lynn. His memory lives on through the laughter and love shared as “Poppa” to his grandchildren: Jennifer McMillan (Brooks), Krystal Sadler (Jason), Nicholas Iwanyshyn (Corrin), Erin Gillan (Mitchell), Stephanie Duff (John), and Mitchell Iwanyshyn and great-grandchildren, Ava, Austin, Clayton, Aiden, Adeline, Cameron, Cadence, and Hendrik. Born to the late Ferdinand and Ethel (Lenser) Rosien. Henry was a cherished brother to Leona Mueller (late Alfred), Linda Musclow (late Ben), Lauretta Handke (late Donald), Allan Rosien (Shirley), Vera Dittburner (late Wilfred), Diana Cammack (Franklin) and Alfred (Bev). He was predeceased by brothers Leonard (late Elizabeth) and Verner (Mary). Dear brother-in-law of Lorraine Cluff (late Deli), Don Grant (Ivy), and Ken Grant (Anne). Henry’s life was a testament to his love for the great outdoors, particularly his passion for fishing and hunting. Remarkably, he pursued these cherished pastimes until the age of 93, proudly sharing tales of the hunt just this last year. His resilience and zest for life were truly inspiring. Friends and family are invited to join us in celebrating Henry’s life at the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior, where visitation was held Wednesday January 3, 2023 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A private family Interment took place at Arnprior Malloch Road Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Arnprior, in memory of Henry’s unwavering faith.
