Obituary of Doreen Colbert
(nee Frappier)
With heavy hearts, the family announces that Doreen passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at the age of 93.
She was the beloved wife of the late Ernest “Ernie” Colbert who predeceased her on February 6, 2020; and she was the dearly loved mother of the late Bruce (Tina Baum), Timothy (Heather), Marla Tolan (Michael), Andrea Colbert, Nancy Donnelly (Shawn) and Bill (Karen).
In her youth, Doreen used her leadership skills as the Ontario Provincial President of CGIT (Canadian Girls in Training) and after her marriage to Ernie, she continued to use those skills and focused her love and attention on raising her six children who all admired her greatly.
She leaves a wonderful legacy of love for her children, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Doreen’s final care was entrusted to the
Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior.
A private family graveside service and interment will take place at the Malloch Road Cemetery, Arnprior.
Heartfelt thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at the Arnprior Hospital for their kindness and wonderful care of Doreen.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation would be appreciated.
