Obituary of Clayton Kerr
May 22,1938-July 1,2024.
Peacefully, in the Palliative Care Unit of St. Vincent’s Hospital, Ottawa in his 86th year; Clayt passed away on Canada Day after a courageous battle from complications with Dementia. “Dad, all of our hearts are so heavy with sadness now that you are gone but we take comfort knowing you are so much more at peace”.
Clayt was a long-standing employee of Farm Credit Corporation.
He was the beloved husband for over 64 yrs. of Fay Kerr (“Ardella”, nee Desarmia) and cherished Dad of Cathy Bebee (Paul).
“Poppi” leaves behind his 2 beautiful granddaughters who loved him so very much, McKenna and Shelby.
Clayt was predeceased by his parents, Ernie Sr. & Mae (nee Schubrink) Kerr. He was also predeceased by his siblings and their spouses – Ernie Jr., Bev, Betty (Ardena), and Marion (Les); his nieces – Nancy and Sandy and his brother-in-law, Doug.
Clayt is survived by and will be sadly missed his sister, June (Doug) and his sisters-in-law: Doreen (Ernie Jr.) and Gay (Bev) along with many nieces and nephews.
A special thankyou goes out to The Ottawa Hospital (General Campus- ER & 6th. floor) for all their compassionate care and as well, very fondly, to the Palliative Care Unit of St. Vincent’s Hospital who made Dad’s last few weeks dignified, comfortable and peaceful. We will be forever grateful for you being there for him.

Clayt’s private care and arrangements have been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior.
Interment Albert Street Cemetery, Arnprior.
