Obituary of Charlie O’Reilly
(Retired Consolidated-Bathurst)
With heavy hearts, the family announces that following a lengthy and sometimes difficult struggle with cancer, Charlie passed away at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital on Thursday evening, February 8, 2024. He was 85.
Beloved husband and best friend for over 64 years of Carleen (nee Nelson). Much loved and proud father of Lynda O’Reilly (Kevin White), Stephen O’Reilly, David O’Reilly (Lee Anne), Lisa Thomson (Ian) and Brad O’Reilly (Isabelle Dubeau). Cherished Grandpa of 9 grandchildren: Quinby, Matthew, Andrew, Jennifer, Mandy, Rebecca, Chris, Wade and Erin as well as 5 great-grandchildren: Abi, Willow, Callum, Zack and Madison. Dear brother of Helen, Eddie, Doris and John.
Charlie was born in Rouyn-Noranda, QC.
He was a teammate on and off the Soft Ballfield, and a Hockey Coach. He would always meet you with a handshake and a smile every time he saw you, as if it was the first time he met you.
He will be missed.
