Passed away peacefully on the evening of Dec. 27th, 2023 at 82 years of age, in Almonte, Ontario.
Rita was born on Jan.9, 1941, to Lois and Richard MacDonald. She worked for a number of years for Public Service Alliance of Canada, then in later years, for Starwood Nursing home. One of her last jobs was caregiver and friend of Vera and her Alzheimers.
Rita was a great lover of all animals, but her favorite, and her life, was Meagan, her dog.
Rita was predeceased by her husband, Gerry Griffin and her brother Rick MacDonald. She is survived by Ian MacDonald (Marian), Don MacDonald (Karen), Jean Karst (Steve), Sandy Dodderidge (Moe), Patti Morrison (Trevor), her daughter Tracey Graf (Franz) and grandchildren Emily and Charlie as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Private celebration of life for family and close friends will be held Saturday Dec. 30th, 2023
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to The Salvation Army or an animal rescue in your area.
