Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 12, 2024 at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
Carol (Nee Newton)
Of Almonte, Ontario, in her 82nd year.
Loving wife for almost 62 years to Gary. Always remembered and cherished by Bill (Connie), Kathy Shay (Ken), and Peter (Sherry). Proud “Nanny” of Erin (David Monds), Candace (Mike Honders), Colin (Shealyn), Curtis (Sarah), Calvin (Heather), Greggary and Brody. Adored by 8 great-grandchildren. Survived by her brother Greg (Edna) and predeceased by her siblings Nicholas and Marsha. Donations in memory of Carol may be made to the Almonte General Hospital Fairview Manor Foundation.
A Service and Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring.

  1. Dear Gary and family. Jan and I want to give you our deepest condolences with the passing of dear Carol. I have so many memories growing up with all of the Newton clan, attending your wedding as well as babysitting your children over the years when they were young.
    We’re thinking of you at this difficult time.
