Robert Ryan Smilsky
We are sadly announcing the passing of Rob Smilsky on Tuesday June 11, 2024 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie. He was in his 49th year.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 6 years (together for 16) Lesley Tivendale , her parents Ted & Colleen and Lesley’s sister and brother. Also left behind are his parents Larry & Carol-Lynne Smilsky, his sister Kari (Mike Still) and his numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Rob was never happier than when he was puttering around in his garden, having Sunday picnic with Les around their pond, fishing with his buddies near Temagami and playing with his dogs. He was a creative chef, an avid reader, a “learning” carpenter, and a world wide seasoned adventure traveler and a scuba diver. He was blessed to have many close and a lifelong friends who, I am sure, will miss his exuberance and quirky ideas.
Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre Fdn. Barrie or the Alliston or Barrie Humane Society. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
