Melanie passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday September 25, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Melanie was a kind, loving and always giving person who always had a positive outlook that she shared with all who knew her. Her infectious laugh and glowing smile would cheer up anybody’s day.
Melanie leave behinds the loves of her life, her husband Brian Williams of Lisle, daughter Cassandra Martel (Derek James), son Brayden Hiltz (Kateryna Horbatova) and step sons Blake and Parker Williams. Melanie was the proud and loving Grandma to Elana and Audrey. Loved daughter of the late Bernard Thompson and Patricia Thompson. Loved sister of Coreen Avilla (Mike) and auntie to Jada Avilla. Melanie was loved by all who knew her. She will be sadly missed.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff at St. Elizabeth Home Care for Making Mel’s final days at home so comforting for her and Brian.
Friends and family are invited to join at the Georgian Bay Steam Show Grounds 4635 Victoria St. W., Cookstown on Saturday October 7, 2023 from 3 – 7 p.m. for Mel’s Party! You are encouraged to bring your beverage of choice and a pot luck meal will be provided. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Matthews House Hospice, Alliston would be appreciated.
