Passed away peacefully surrounded by her daughter at the Garden Villa Retirement Home on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at the age of 84 years. She was the daughter of the late Stanley Barton and the late Dorothy Barton Pollard (nee Johnston) and the wife to the late Arden Johnston. She leaves in sadness her beloved daughter Sheryl; her sister Wendy Sproule (Kerry Mullin); her sister-in-law Nan Barton and Sandra Johnston; her brother-in-law Grant Fletcher and her aunt Vera Runions, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and her dear friends.
She was predeceased by her brother Garfield Barton, her sisters Linda Waugh and Donna Fletcher and her son-in-law Richard Patterson.
June will always be remembered for her strong will and determination.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, September 6, 2024 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a chapel service at 11 a.m. at Lamarre & Son Funeral Home, 453 St-Philippe Street, Alfred, Ont.
In memory of Mrs. Johnston, donations to the Garden Villa Retirement Home or the Winchester District Memorial Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
