Obituary of Joseph Anthony Nash
Joseph Anthony Nash filed his last flight plan, on December 22, and flew off into the blue sky to be reunited with the love of his life, Frances Mary (deceased June 9, 2022).
Surrounded by family, Joe spent the last four weeks putting up a good fight but fell short of reaching his 90th birthday by just four weeks.
Survived by his children Julie de Gouw (Peter), Fran Houben (Brian Kelly), Joe Nash (Karen) and Kevin Nash (Rebecca). Proud grandfather of 16 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Survived by his sister Annette Long (Des), and sister-in-law- Nati Nash. Predeceased by several brothers and sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
In addition to being a pilot and a sailor, Joe was a carpenter, a photographer, boat builder, and could fix almost anything. Always eager to be on an adventure, Joe flew to Ireland and back by himself in a Twin Comanche.
From a young age, Joe loved to be out on the water in a boat, preferably on a sailboat that he designed and built himself.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at All Saints church, 124 Front St. E. on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 11:00 am. Visitation at All Saints church at 10 am until Mass at 11 am. Interment at St. Columba Cemetery, Bornish. In lieu of flowers, donations to All Saints Church, Strathroy, gratefully appreciated.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Dennings Funeral Home, Strathroy.
