Obituary of Bernard Charles Bodnarchuk
It is with deep sadness and much love we announce the passing of Bernie Bodnarchuk, with his family by his side, on Sunday, September 15, 2024, in his 85th year.
Devoted husband to Lynda for 63 years and loving dad to Karey (Raymond) Neves and Tracey (Al) Ledgley. Best Papa ever to Ryan, Cody, Derek and Kiefer (Joy) and special Great Grandpa to Baeya.
Affectionately known as Mr B to many, Bernie would always give you the shirt off his back. He was the taxi, babysitter and biggest supporter of all his grandchildren and always willing to help out when needed. He loved fast cars, boats and tinkering in his garage and lived life to the fullest. There was always a bonfire in the backyard, pie irons and your choice of arcade games. He made everything fun.
Survived by his sister Judy Mura and his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father Charles (1975), mother Marg (1992), sister Sharon Augustine, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ken and Darlene Porter and nephew Wade Porter.
Many thanks to Dr. Whynot and the wonderful staff at Craigwell Gardens – you have been very kind and also to the compassion and care of the attending staff at SMGH emergency.
As per Bernie’s wishes there will be no funeral service. In dad’s memory please consider a donation to Craigwell Gardens – “Building a New Craigholme” fund.
Dad, we hope you are finally enjoying a Wiser’s Deluxe on the rocks. We will see you again … Love you forever.
