Michael’s Obituary
WOOD, Michael Ralph – age 79, passed away suddenly at home on May 31, 2024. Born in Yarmouth, he was the son of the late Ralph and Ruby (Doane) Wood.
Michael was a reserved man who led a simple life. He worked at Dominion Textiles for many years, until it closed. He will be remembered for his love of sports, especially baseball. In earlier years, he helped coach the Yarmouth Mooseheads. He enjoyed his daily trips for coffee with his friend John.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Louise; his son, Michael Troy (Carmen) Wood, Lower Sackville; and his sister, Eleanor (Morris) Nickerson, Fall River.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Trent Jason, in infancy.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home in Yarmouth. As per Michael’s wishes, there will be no service. To leave messages of condolence for the family, please visit www.huskilson.net
