Margaret’s Obituary
SMITH, Margaret Elizabeth “Betty” – Age 85 of Digby, passed away peacefully with her girls by her side on June 25, 2024 at Tideview Terrace, Digby. Born in Yarmouth on October 23, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Lindsey and Lena Surette.
Betty is survived by children, George (Sadie), Sandra (Rodney), Mary Ann, Beverly, Daniel (Connie), Holly (Richard), Susan (Paul), Charles (Crystal) and Lesa (Leigh); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Fred; a daughter in infancy, Anna Marie; siblings, Anna, Florence, George, Fred, Charles, Stanley, Leo and Donald.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. A service will be held at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tideview Terrace Bingo Fund.
Betty’s family would like to give a big thank you to the staff at Tideview Terrace (Prim House) for making mom feel like family and giving her the best care anyone could ever give her. You guys are amazing and mom loved you all.
