Edmund’s Obituary
BOUDREAU, Edmund Albany “Benny” – age 83, passed away peacefully at The Meadows Home for Special Care on January 11, 2024. Born in Yarmouth, he was the son of the late Edmund and Mae (Clairmont) Boudreau.
Benny worked as an engineer on MV Bluenose for 30+ years. In his free time, he enjoyed playing darts, cards, attending ATV rallies; and having gatherings with friends at his camp. Benny will forever be remembered as a champion spoon player.
Benny is survived by his partner, Joyce Surette; children, Tracey Boudreau, Craig (Melanie) Boudreau, and Terry Messenger; siblings, Nancy (the late Lester) LeBlanc; Lillian (Lynn) Kent; Sandra (Patrick) Saulnier; Larry (Cathy) Boudreau; Louise (Gerald) Oberwarth.
He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren; Hannah; Hunter; Holly; Kyle; and Kristen; and great granddaughter Sophia. Benny is predeceased by his sister, Shirley Boudreau.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Huskilson’s Funeral Home in Yarmouth. A graveside service will be held at Our Lady of Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Forest Street, Yarmouth at 12 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2024 with a reception to follow at Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth.
