Earle Douglas Raynard Jr. of Tusket Falls passed away July 6,2024 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born May 17,1944 in South Ohio he was a son to the late Earle Raynard Sr. and Edith (Hamilton) Raynard. Earle was a carpenter by trade and received the Inter Provincial Carpentry licence from the Institute of Technology in Halifax. He also worked a number of years as a guidance counsellor at the Hebron Rec Center. He spent 24 years as fire chief for the Lake Vaughan Fire Dept. Service to others was very important to him and it was shown in his day-to-day life. In retirement Earle collected logging tools and information on logging and kept an inviting museum on his property. He thoroughly enjoyed fishing for kiacks on the Tusket River in Tusket Falls. He is survived by his loving wife, Judith; children, Holly (Jacinthe Lamontagne), and Grant (Nanette Morin); granddaughter, Lydia, who will miss his continuous acts of love and kindness. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. As per request there will be no funeral service. Memorial donations may be made to the Lake Vaughan Fire Department
