Obituary of Constance Shirley Dean
Constance Shirley Dean
December 1, 1931 – July 19, 2024
Constance Dean (née Boss) was born in Amherst, Nova Scotia on December 1, 1931, to Bertha and Kenneth Boss.
She resided in the Pictou County area for more than half of her life and enjoyed being a part of the community. Connie loved music, playing both piano and organ, and she passed this passion on to her youngest son, Bill. She was also a prolific reader who always had a book in her hand.
Connie was a part of a local seniors group and went on many adventures with them across the Maritimes, whether it was to see a play or visit a winery. Joining her for many of those outings was her dear friend, Jean Symonds.
Connie leaves behind her son, Bill Dean (Melissa), her brother, Royce Boss (Libby), and her nieces and nephews Karen Stanley Hamilton, Jo-Ann Potter, Jonathan Boss, Kenneth Boss, and Andrea Boss. She was predeceased by her husband, Bill, her sister, Janet Lowther, and her son, Robert Boss.
The family will receive visitors from 12 pm on Thursday, July 25 until the time of the funeral service at 2 pm in Eagles Funeral Home with Rev. Gail Johnson- Murdock officiating. Burial will follow in Thorburn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Pictou County SPCA in Connie’s memory
