Marilyn’s Obituary
LEBLANC, Marilyn Louise – age 83 of Wedgeport. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Mom and Nana, Marilyn, on October 29th at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born on May 23, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Rosa (Burke) Ellis.
Marilyn spent much of her time in the family business, A. L. LeBlanc Limited, and loved to joke around and have a good laugh. She was a very determined and independent person; however, she often showed her softer side with her daughter and grandchildren, of whom she was very proud.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter Lisa (Martin) Doucette, grandchildren Tasha (Jean-Marc) and Brandon, great-granddaughter Austyn, and brother Loran (Beverly) Ellis. Aside from her parents,
Marilyn was predeceased by her husband of almost 60 years, Patrick, and her brother Paul (Gloria) Ellis.
A special thank you to the women at Treasured Memories, Doctor Webster and Marilyn, and the doctors and nurses at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Visitation will be held at the St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Wedgeport at 1:00pm on Wednesday November 1st, followed by a funeral mass at 2:00pm. If desired, donations may be made to the Wedgeport Fire Department, the Gilles Boudreau Fund or a charity of your choice.
