Prosser, Kenneth Gordon – passed away on October 6, 2023 at home surrounded by family. He was 74.
He is survived by Rose, his wife of 54 years; son, Randal and wife, Tracy and their daughters, Amanda and Ashley (Connor); daughter, Brenda and son, Gordon.
Ken grew up in Bedford. As a young man he ventured out west to Alberta where he met and married Rose. Returning to Nova Scotia, he went to work in the oilfield. Some years later he began his career with DND, working at CFB Shearwater and CFB Halifax.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and driving to look for deer with Randy. He was a very avid reader and always had to have his e-reader charging. After his retirement he enjoyed many happy days at the camp he and Gordie built in Mount Uniacke.
He liked to tease and have a laugh and he could break down a lobster before you could get the claws off of yours. He’ll be remembered as a good son, husband and Dad. He will be greatly missed by all including his loyal little dog, Benji, who hardly left Ken’s side through his illness.
