Blackburn, Ernest Charles – Age 68, of Bible Hill. It is with heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of Ernie on May 2, 2024.
Born in Middle Musquodoboit, he was a son of the late Earl and Marion “Molly” (Hunter) Blackburn.
He was predeceased by his brother, David and sister, Barbara Streatch. Ernie was a devoted, loving husband to his wife, Christina “Tina” Kennedy, and is also survived by many treasured nieces and nephews.
Ernie was a certified N. S. Land Surveyor and an active member of the Association since 1976. Ernie and Doug MacLeod opened their business, Fundy Land Surveys in 1983 to present.
Ernie was true car enthusiast, a member and past president of the Corvette Club of Nova Scotia. He was a big sports fan and loved watching NASCAR. He was an avid hockey player and fan for all his life.
A Celebration of Ernie’s Life will be held on Tuesday, May 21st from 6-8 pm in Inn on Prince Hotel, Oak Room, Truro.
