Wayne Reginald James Sisson –
73, Truro, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at
Halifax Infirmary, QEII, Halifax, surrounded by family. Born in
Ottawa, Ontario, Wayne was a son of the late Jim and Dorothy (Minoque)
Sisson.
Wayne will be missed by his children, James and Jocelyn
(Logan); grandchildren, Eva, Aspen, Ember; brothers, Jeff and Kathy,
Donald (deceased), Lyn and Robert; sister, Debra; nephews, Ryan
(Sayo), Lauren (Clay), Kyle; great uncle to Kayla and
Scarlett.
Wayne was an avid curler and for many years the face of Truro
Curling Club. He was also a very talented artist; he created many
paintings, stained glass and wood art pieces displayed in his
home and the homes of family and friends. He also
loved to travel, often preferring to drive. He made many trips to
Ottawa in his beloved Toyota Tacoma.
A Celebration of Wayne’s Life will be held on from
2-5 p.m., Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Truro Curling Club, 56 Young
Street, Truro. The burial will occur in the summer at Cumberland Dales
Cemetery, Cumberland, Ontario.

who both took wonderful care of Wayne.
